SOSAI’s Resilience and Nutrition Program is a comprehensive initiative designed to empower the families of children with disabilities thus promoting economic stability, nutritional well-being and overall resilience.
The parents and care givers of children with disabilities receive training on income generating activities and vocational skills enabling them to secure stable income and provide necessities for their children.
Children with disabilities who have not gone through high levels of formal education acquire hands-on skills at the vocational training center which fosters independence and self-sufficiency.
Therapeutic food supplements are provided to combat malnutrition ensuring children with disabilities receive essential nutrients for optimal health.
Parents and care takers of children with disabilities learn sustainable agricultural practices such as backyard farming, and sack gardening to grow their own food and improve on food security.
Parents also receive training on effective financial management which enables them to make informed decisions about their resources.
Mothers of children with disabilities will be able to receive training on importance of breast feeding hence promoting a healthy growth and development.
Children with disabilities receive essential mineral supplements to support their overall health and well-being.
